Halloween Costumes That Are Good Enough To Eat – Candy Costumes

These costumes are mouthwatering as they are based on all of your favorite candy from twix bars to skittles and more besides especially everyone’s favorites – M&Ms.

These candy costumes are sure to make your costume the talk of the party this year. If you’re a chocoholic like I am then you will simply love any of these outfits and probably won’t want to take them off again at the end of the night!

Be aware though that these costumes are not for people on a diet as they are pure candy which makes them absolutely ideal for Halloween! These pieces of candy don’t fit in any Halloween Candy Dishes, but they do like to raid them.

Twix Costumes

A Delightful Chocolate Outfit

At the moment I can only find this twix costume, which is definitely designed for a lady as it’s in effect a tank dress. My favorite twix costume is actually a unisex one and looks just like a twix wrapper. When it’s back in stock I will link to it for you.

I absolutely adore Twix bars they’re one of my secret vices – a Twix finger and a big mug of tea is one of the perfect morning teas in my opinion!

Dressing up as a Twix chocolate bar is certainly an intriguing idea and it’s great that there are two different types of Twix costume to choose from – the sexy Twix bar designed for a woman who hasn’t eaten as many Twixes in her life as I have and the Twix wrapper costume – which is your favorite?

M&Ms Group Costume Idea

Who doesn’t like M&M candy? They’re simply delicious, they are also a great idea for a group costume as you can dress up as your favorite M&M from Red to Green, Blue and Yellow. I’ve got costumes that you can buy further down the page or you could even try and make your own.

I saw a group of girls dressed up as M&Ms a few years ago – they all wore black leggings and a black skivvy and then they had what looked like tunic dresses over the top that looked like it had elastic put into the bottom hem so that it gave them the appropriate looking shape.

Everyone has their favorite M&Ms and you can choose which one you prefer and come as that, personally I love the plain M&Ms, but my best friend prefers the peanut variety.

I think I’d definitely want to be Red and I just so happen to be married to someone who does an amazing Yellow impersonation so methinks we could be the perfect chocolatey couple!

Ghost Costumes for Children

I think that a ghost costume is a great fancy dress outfit for a child, especially on Halloween.

Let’s face it what child hasn’t wanted to ‘play’ at being a ghost at one time or another – sneaking up on mom or dad with a sheet or towel over themselves and saying ‘boo!’ I can remember using my Nan’s spare sheets on many occasion and pretending to be Casper or some other ghost, my brother and I were always pulling her laundry cupboard apart – if not for use as a costume those sheets also made great forts when draped over chairs inside or between a tree and gooseberry bush outside!

There are some pretty amazing ghost costumes for women available. The Edwardian lady of the manor ghost (as seen here) or the maid ghost are two really interesting ghost costumes.

There are many more, you can even be a ghostly apparition of someone who is no longer on this plane such as Marie Antoinette.

Ghostly Lady

This adult Ghostly Lady Costume comes complete with a tattered full length gown that’s sure to turn heads all evening.

The costume also includes a tulle petticoat and a coordinated, fashionable hat. Of course, the look isn’t complete without a set of ethereal gloves, and a matching wig. The addition of some grey makeup will ensure that you will be ready to haunt all night long!

There are certainly lots of ghost bride costumes available and these, although great on their own as well, are perfect as a couple outfit with your partner wearing a ghost groom costume.

Can’t decide whether to dress up as your favorite celebrity or a zombie? Then why not combine the two for an absolutely awesome costume idea. Over the last couple of years there have been a few ready to wear celebrity zombie costumes available to purchase, but there doesn’t appear to be as many this year.

This isn’t a problem, however, as you can turn any celebrity costume into a fun zombie version for a zombie walk, Halloween or some other costume event. It really is a fun process to essentially ‘trash’ a regular costume so that you end up with a unique ‘zombified’ version.

Make Your Own Zombie Celebrity Costume

Of course you can add a few touches to any costume to make it look like a zombie version so dig out last year’s celebrity costume or buy a new costume and let’s ‘trash it zombie style’! The key to a good zombie costume is to make sure it looks tatty, after all zombies lurch around and get caught on all manner of things because they have really bad co-ordination.

You can tear, rip or use scissors to give the outfit a more dishevelled look. Next it should look old, whites are supposed to be greys and bright colors need to be dulled. It’s hard to achieve this, but I think one of the easiest ways is to think about how kids like to play because they really know how to get clothes dirty and stained. This means you need to put on the costume and roll around on the ground to get grass and dirt stains on it.

Next we need to look at blood stains – you can use a brush to flick fake blood onto your outfit or use fake blood in a spray bottle to spray on parts of it. In areas where you have a strategic rip/gash in the outfit you might want to add more blood around it, especially if you want to add a wound there.

When it comes to hair, you also want to make this unkempt and try add bits of white or grey to it as well.
