There are lots of ways of creating a ghost’s paradise at your home this Halloween, you just have to decide if you want cute ghosts or scary ghosts or even a mixture of ghosts.

First up we have a ghost gathering – nothing scary about a gang of ghosts is there? These are quite cute ghosts too…..by the way a gathering of ghosts is actually called a fraid, isn’t that a cool piece of trivia?

There’s something even more spooky about a hanging ghost halloween decoration, I think it’s because the ghost isn’t touching the ground. You always think of ghostly apparitions floating towards you when you think of a haunted building don’t you?

Again when it comes to hanging ghosts there are the cute looking ones like the one to my right as well as some pretty scary looking ones.

Of course some people don’t see whole forms of a ghost after all the spirits show themselves in some strange ways at times – like faces that appear in the mirror behind you and vanish when you turn around. Then there’s that feeling you get when you feel their presence and yet you don’t see anything.

Create a ghostly atmosphere with the help of a fog machine (they love appearing on foggy nights after all) and add a few concealed fans for the breeze and cold that you sometimes feel as they brush past you.

There are lots of non-ghost props that you can use to enhance the feeling of spirits around you such as a couple of gravestones in the back yard that they can congregate around (not a whole cemetery just one or two).

You could also leave an ouiji board on a table near some ghostly apparitions or a crystal ball for that mystical feel.

I like the idea of the place having an old unused feel around it, almost like the ghosts have taken over – cobwebs in corners with spiders, what looks like a broken window or two and boarded up doors etc. Of course for a bit of comic relief you could leave some ball and chain on the ground and run around looking for your ghost that got away!

Of course now the only question is should you dress up as a ghost or a Ghostbuster for a happy haunting Halloween!

Can you believe this movie came out in 2016? The Suicide Squad Halloween costumes are still a popular choice, especially Margot Robbie’s version of Harley Quinn.

Although superheroes are great to dress up as when you’re a kid there’s something fun about dressing up as a supervillain that many adults enjoy and that’s where these Suicide Squad costumes come into their own.

The looks that the 2016 blockbuster movie has brought to these characters have given them a punkish street edge look that I think is awesome so let’s have a look at some of these supervillains.

The main Suicide Squad characters are The Joker, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Katana & Croc Killer. Dress up as any member of the squad or use this as a great idea for a group costume.

Jared Leto brings the Joker to life in the 2016 Suicide Squad movie and apparently while filming he stayed in character and even scared Scott Eastward a little bit (with Dirty Harry as your dad I’m thinking that’s not an easy thing to do!)

The key to this costume is very pale skin, green hair and some pretty out there tattoos which have already caused the internet to melt as fans reactions have not been in favor of the tattoos.

The costume above includes the red shirt, jacket and pants, but you’ll also need to get a green wig and address those tattoos. If you have a quick look on youtube you’ll see that some people have very successfully recreated the Joker’s pale skin and crazy tattoos, but if you want an easier way to get the look we’ve got you covered with a set of temporary tattoos.

My daughter loves dance, especially hip hop so when we had the chance to take her to see the Jabbawockeez in 2012 we didn’t hesitate. When they came on to perform, not only did I enjoy their dancing, I thought what a great idea for Halloween – a Jabbawockeez Halloween Costume.

I thought it seemed like a very easy Halloween costume to put together, it would also be a great idea for a group costume as well. Let’s look at a few simple steps to create your very own Jabbawockeez Halloween costume.

Simple Steps to Create Your Own Jabbawockeez Costume

When we saw them they were going though their orange jumpsuit ‘stage’ so this is the costume I’m going to piece together for you now –

As you can see above you take an orange jumpsuit, pop on a trademark white mask, then throw on a black hat, orange kicks and some white gloves and you’re good to go! Now to be honest they may have been wearing white shoes instead of orange as I can’t remember and in images of them I’ve seen them don both so use whatever you have.

The not so simple part of this costume is busting a few moves – a couple of go to hip hop moves would really help you pull it off, but if that’s not happening then just tell people you’re having a day off!
