Pirate Ghost Costumes for Men

Pirates always seem to come back as ghosts, probably because they don’t want anyone to steal their treasure! This does mean that you have a few different costume ideas if you choose a pirate ghost theme.

I’ve found some ready made pirate ghost costumes below, but you could also just use a pirate costume from a previous year and add some webbing, a little dust. Next add a white, silver or grey wig along with making sure your complexion is very ghost-like and you have your costume.

Over the last couple of years there have been a few ready to wear celebrity zombie costumes available to purchase, but there doesn’t appear to be as many this year.

This isn’t a problem, however, as you can turn any celebrity costume into a fun zombie version for a zombie walk, Halloween or some other costume event. It really is a fun process to essentially ‘trash’ a regular costume so that you end up with a unique ‘zombified’ version.

Make Your Own Zombie Celebrity Costume

Of course you can add a few touches to any costume to make it look like a zombie version so dig out last year’s celebrity costume or buy a new costume and let’s ‘trash it zombie style’! The key to a good zombie costume is to make sure it looks tatty, after all zombies lurch around and get caught on all manner of things because they have really bad co-ordination.

You can tear, rip or use scissors to give the outfit a more dishevelled look. Next it should look old, whites are supposed to be greys and bright colors need to be dulled. It’s hard to achieve this, but I think one of the easiest ways is to think about how kids like to play because they really know how to get clothes dirty and stained. This means you need to put on the costume and roll around on the ground to get grass and dirt stains on it.

Next we need to look at blood stains – you can use a brush to flick fake blood onto your outfit or use fake blood in a spray bottle to spray on parts of it. In areas where you have a strategic rip/gash in the outfit you might want to add more blood around it, especially if you want to add a wound there.

When it comes to hair, you also want to make this unkempt and try add bits of white or grey to it as well.

The Flintstones fancy dress costumes are a great idea for any fan of Fred Flintstone and his friends and family. I can’t think of a better crowd than the Flintstones and Rubbles to dress up as for a group costume idea, yabba dabba doo!

One of our friends actually dressed up as Barney Rubble many moons ago and did a really good job of it. I haven’t actually seen any of our friends dress up as Fred and Wilma yet though so it could be a great idea for hubby and I this Halloween – what do you think?

The look was a little too convincing methinks.

Great friends with Wilma Flintstone, Betty has to put up with Barney being regularly led astray by Fred and she does so while still looking pretty in a stone age way –

This costume even includes the wig so is perfect if you want to dress up as Betty Rubble. I must admit I always preferred Betty’s blue dress to Wilma’s wardrobe. The shoes featured above aren’t included but then I don’t recall seeing her ever wear shoes on the cartoon so I’d go barefoot.

There are a few other options for Flintstone costumes such as Dino the Flintstone’s pet or Bamm Bamm the Rubble’s son, but I think I’ve covered the main Flintstones in this post. Of course you may decide that you don’t want to buy a ready made costume and the Flintstone’s costumes are quite basic which makes then a great idea for a diy costume.
