Can you believe this movie came out in 2016? The Suicide Squad Halloween costumes are still a popular choice, especially Margot Robbie’s version of Harley Quinn.

Although superheroes are great to dress up as when you’re a kid there’s something fun about dressing up as a supervillain that many adults enjoy and that’s where these Suicide Squad costumes come into their own.

The looks that the 2016 blockbuster movie has brought to these characters have given them a punkish street edge look that I think is awesome so let’s have a look at some of these supervillains.

The main Suicide Squad characters are The Joker, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Katana & Croc Killer. Dress up as any member of the squad or use this as a great idea for a group costume.

Suicide Squad Joker Costume

Jared Leto brings the Joker to life in the 2016 Suicide Squad movie and apparently while filming he stayed in character and even scared Scott Eastward a little bit (with Dirty Harry as your dad I’m thinking that’s not an easy thing to do!)

The key to this costume is very pale skin, green hair and some pretty out there tattoos which have already caused the internet to melt as fans reactions have not been in favor of the tattoos.

Suicide Squad The Joker Costume Jacket

The costume above includes the red shirt, jacket and pants, but you’ll also need to get a green wig and address those tattoos. If you have a quick look on youtube you’ll see that some people have very successfully recreated the Joker’s pale skin and crazy tattoos, but if you want an easier way to get the look we’ve got you covered with a set of temporary tattoos.

Harley Quinn Suicide Squad Costume

In the movie Harley Quinn moves from her cartoonish red and black traditional costume to a punkier version of Harley Quinn with the combination of red and blue instead. She also sports a pretty nifty baseball bat – what’s with villains and baseball bats?

She still has her pigtails which I think she carries off really well so let’s have a look at Harley Quinn 2016 Suicide Squad version!

Killer Croc Suicide Squad Halloween Costume

Another member of the squad is Killer Croc, born Waylon Jones he has a genetic disorder which causes his skin to look like it belongs on a reptile. After killing his aunt he joined a travelling circus under the name of Killer Croc and the rest is super villain history.

Now I’m sure if you’re a make up artist or special effects guru you could recreate the look of Killer Croc’s skin for Halloween, but for mere mortals like myself there are masks available. This costume kit includes both a mask and gloves along with his jacket and attached hoodie so all you need to add is a pair of jeans and you have the perfect Killer Croc costume for this Halloween.

I love this vending machine costume and was heartbroken to find it’s NO LONGER AVAILABLE to purchase commercially – I’ve looked everywhere I can think of and just can’t find it anymore.

I still think it’s a great idea for a Coke costume that is also a unisex one wo why not make it yourself?

A large cardboard box could be the ‘vending machine’ you’ll just have to provide some artwork yourself (or print images of the label off to use as the buttons). You could either have your head out the top of the box or add eyes on the front of the vending machine – personally, I would have my head poking out the top like I have done for a rubik’s cube costume.
